Disabling startup programs for power users
For power users, the easiest way to disable startup programs is through the Task Manager. Here’s how:
- Press the
Ctrl + Alt + Delete
keys at the same time to open theTask Manager
- Or right click on the taskbar and choose
Task Manager
- Click on the “Startup” tab
- Select the program you want to disable and click the “Disable” button

Disabling startup programs for advanced users
For advanced users, there are several other methods for disabling startup programs in Windows 11. One method is to use the System Configuration Utility (also known as “msconfig“). Here’s how:

This will also prevent the selected program from running when Windows starts up.
